Honda Adaptive Cruise Control Information
Honda Adaptive Cruise Control
The convenience of cruise control has been implemented for many years, giving drivers the ability to maintain a consistent speed without pressing the accelerator. Honda has taken this technology and expanded on it, introducing it as one of the most convenient features of the Honda Sensing Suite of driver-assistive technologies. Honda Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow is a convenience feature available on select Honda models available at Number 7 Honda. The Low-Speed Follow helps Honda owners to adjust vehicle speed to the speed of the vehicle in front of you, even engaging the brakes to bring your vehicle to a complete stop to prevent a collision, if necessary. Once the sensors determine the car in front of you is at a safe following distance it will resume following and maintaining a safe following distance. The distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you is determined using a radar unit mounted at the front of the vehicle below the headlight, and a windshield-mounted camera. When the vehicle ahead changes speed, your Honda will adjust speed by accelerating or decelerating as required. Contact us today to schedule a test drive and experience Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow technology.
