Honda Safety Features
Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS):
This feature scans up to 100m of the road ahead and can alert you when a potential frontal collision with a vehicle or pedestrian is apparent. To help minimize the severity of a potential collision, the vehicle speed is reduced.
Honda LaneWatch:
The camera mounted underneath the passenger-side mirror sends a live video feed to the 7" Display Audio system screen, which showcases nearly four times more visibility than just the side mirror alone.
Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS):
Designed for the driver's convenience only, the LKAS gently corrects your steering when you begin to leave a detected lane without signaling.
Car Wash Mode:
For vehicles equipped with the Honda Electronic Gear Selector, the Car Wash Mode will help avoid possible damage to the vehicle when entering a conveyor belt-type car wash.
Lane Departure Warning (LDW):
Designed to monitor your vehicle's lane position and alert you when your vehicle drifts into another lane without signaling.
Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System:
Delivering two options for drivers to get to their destination: the "where to?" option provides a variety of shortcuts to quickly search your desired category. The "view map" option displays the road ahead in 3D and offers a split screen to help navigate what's ahead.
Driver Information Interface:
Operating with the steering wheel mounted switches on the left hand side of the wheel, this feature provides a variety of content
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC):
Emitting radar waves that bounce off the vehicle ahead, the Adaptive Cruise Control maintains a constant vehicle speed. When the vehicle in front changes its acceleration, this feature senses the change and adapts to preserve a set distance.
Cross Traffic Monitor:
Sensors located near the rear of the vehicle can detect other vehicles approaching from either direction, which is intended to help the driver reverse in a crowded parking spot or driveway. An alert can be heard and seen from the rear camera display.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low Speed Follow:
This feature allows your vehicle to maintain a constant cruise speed as well as a set following interval when it approaches a detected vehicle ahead. It also allows your vehicle to come to a complete stop and resume following again.
Road Departure Mitigation (RDM):
Designed to help keep the driver on a detected road way. Sharing the windshield mounted camera with the Lane Departure Warning, this feature identifies lane markings including: painted yellow or white lines, botts' dots and cat's eye markers.
Built-in Power Inverter:
The 2017 Honda Ridgeline has a built-in power inverter found in the trunk bed, which provides 400 watts of AC power, giving you the convenience of power whenever and wherever you go.
Truck Bed Audio:
Found in the new 2017 Honda Ridgeline, the available truck bed audio system has six audio exciters that transform the entire truck bed into a weather-proof audio speaker.
