Tires
Tires provide grip for steering, braking and acceleration which makes it the only point of contact between your vehicle and the road. Each rubber, doughnut-shaped tire is filled with compressed air to form an inflatable cushion which provides traction between the road and the vehicle while absorbing shock and to help you avoid hydroplaning on wet roads. The tires are put on the wheel's rim for protection which enables the vehicle's performance.
Over time, all tires will begin to wear and tear and if not properly maintained, will result in a flat or blowout. Slow leaks within the tire's rim can also be apparent which will lead to excessive damage and may be costly.
Be sure to check all tires and pressures once a month, including the spare to ensure there is no damage, excessive wear or deflation. Remember to always check when the tires are cold; meaning they haven't been in use for a few hours to make sure they have not expanded from the heat. Keep your tires aligned by a service professional to prolong the life of your tires.
